Rainier Foothills Farm started obtaining Cream Legbar breeding stock in 2015. From there, we added stock from 2 different breeders in 2016, and two others in 2019 and 2020.
Our foundation flock was directly from Greenfire Farms and is currently the only importer of the breed from the United Kingdom. All of our parent stock have crest, cream colored hackles and lay sky blue eggs. However, it is possible for hens to lay sky blue, blue gray or a blue green eggs. It is possible for some chicks to hatch out as Cream split to Crele.
If you are looking for a beautiful , easy keeper that lays gorgeous eggs, then the Cream Legbar will make a great addition to your flock.
These unique, crested birds are inquisitive and great foragers. Originating in England in the 1940’s, Crested Cream Legbars are a medium sized chicken that produces high quantities of sky blue eggs. One of the most notable attributes of the Crested Cream Legbar is their ability to produce chicks that are visibly sexable at hatch.
